About our yoga classes

Yoga classes led by our instructors guide you through a series of poses and stretches. We meet by the pavilion and take time to tune into our bodies and minds. No matter your experience level, you are welcome to come join the circle!

Usually, our yoga classes happen on weekend mornings on Saturdays and Sundays, May 1 through September 31. This is subject to change, so check the schedule on our website and confirm.

Class - Lotus of the Heart

My initial journey with yoga began as a way to loosen my ever stiffening body. However, as my journey unfolded, I realized that asana was an invitation for me to venture inwards and begin to cultivate a relationship with Self. Through mind, body, soul communication and integration, I was reconnected to my inherent wisdom. Yoga has been the catalyst for exponential personal growth, applying the lessons learned on the mat to daily life. My practice has become a fundamental part of my self-care, so that I may move through the world with more grace and ease.

In 2015 I completed my yoga teacher training in the Tantric Hatha Yoga lineage incorporating principles of Ayurveda. I design classes that are creative and playful, weaving inspiration from pilates, dance, qi gong, astrology, poetry, mindfulness, and a variety of yoga lineages. In service to the Divine, I offer support in remembering your inherent Divinity, reinforcing the structure of each unique container, so that you may explore the depths of being, and shine your light in this world.

Class - * Slow Flow *

Slow Flow offers therapeutic movements designed to bring balance to the body and slow the mind. We will hold poses a bit longer and transition mindfully, allowing the nervous system to relax as we focus on the breath and sensations in the body. The meditative pace creates space for curiosity and deep acceptance of all that is present in each moment. Inspired by Restorative & Yin practices, this class is suitable for beginners, pregnant practitioners, individuals recovering from injuries, and seasoned yogis seeking to unwind in a relaxed, mindful manner.

Ivy Lau (MEd, MS, OTR/L, RYT) is an educator, occupational therapist, alternative health practitioner and homeschooling single mother of a spunky 7 year old. Over the past two decades, Ivy has explored a range of yoga styles from Kundalini & Ashtanga to Hot Yoga & Yin. She received her RYT-200 with Devi Yoga for Women (Vinyasa Flow) and creates specialized offerings for women, mothers and their babies. Ivy is currently in love with Restorative Yoga for the therapeutic benefits and the emotional processing enabled by longer held poses. Ivy’s therapeutic sessions combine yoga with energy work, manual mobilization techniques and rhythmic movement training exercises that optimize brain function and integrate primitive reflexes. Please see her private practice website, Red Monkey Therapeutics, or email redmonkeyivy@gmail.com for more information.
